Yummies!

Crack, Sizzle, Pop!

Yesterday my younger brothers and I made Rice Crispie Pops as an after school snack! I found this idea on the High Heeled Hostess blogsite. My brothers are 12 and 8 and sometimes it is hard to find snack ideas or crafts that they are not too cool for, but this was very fun and kid friendly! They had a blast decorating their own cracker pops and enjoyed eating them even more! This morning when I woke up they were completely gone! See the directions below! Super easy!

Rice Crispie Pops

4 tbs. Butter
6 c. Rice Crispies
10 oz. bag Marshmallows
Wax Paper
Sucker sticks
Dipping Chocolate
Candy/Toppings

Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Once butter has completely melted add marshmallows. Stir marchmallows until completely melted. Remove from heat and mix in rice crispies. Place mixture in 9X13 buttered baking dish and cool completely. After the rice crispies are cool, cut into 1X1 in. squares and roll into round balls. Stick your sucker sticks into your rice crispie balls for easier dipping. Dip balls in chocolate (I used white chocolate)and add whatever toppings you prefer. After decorating place on wax paper to finish drying. Have fun and enjoy!
